Today is August 19 and the Navigate the Chaos question to consider is “How often do you realize how powerful your thoughts are?”

People who navigate the chaos remind themselves of the power of positive thinking.

The American pacifist Peace Pilgrim (Mildred Lisette Norman) once said: “If you realized how powerful your thoughts are, you would never think a negative thought.” Peace Pilgrim led an extraordinary life dedicated to peace.

In 1952, she became the first woman to walk the entire length of the Appalachian Trail in one season. Starting on January 1, 1953, in Pasadena, California, she adopted the name "Peace Pilgrim" and walked across the U.S. for 28 years.

She understood just how powerful her thoughts could be and never let people or events sway her from translating her dream of walking around the country for peace.
